Workstation/Client Software

Release Notes 

This is the latest version of Alaris Capture Pro Software. If you have an active Service and Support Contract as part of your installation of Capture Pro Software, you can upgrade to and run this release as part of your Software Assurance at no additional charge. The latest version download is for stand-alone or Network Edition client workstation installations.  Note:

  • If the computer on which you are installing Capture Pro Software does not have Internet access, you will also need to download and install License Manager on a computer with internet access.

Auto Import Service Installer

Download and run this installer on a Windows Server operating system to enable your Auto Import installation to run as a service. You must first install Capture Pro Software Version 5.5, or higher, on the server and configure it as an Auto Import workstation. Please refer to the Auto Import chapter of the Capture Pro Software Administrator's Guide for further instructions.

System Output Destinations

System Output Destinations are available to help you extend the capability of your Alaris Capture Pro Software by providing the ability to output batches to a number of different industry-standard formats. These formatted output batches can then be easily imported and/or used by applications that expect these formats. Read complete instructions and download System Output Destination files.

Workstation/Client Software

Following are the minimum system requirements for stand-alone Capture Pro workstations and Network Edition client workstations:

  • 2.8 GHz CPU
  • 2 GB system memory (4 GB is recommended)
  • 1 GB of free disk space
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Extended

NOTE:

  • For the software to operate correctly, you must have the complete package of .NET Framework 4 (Client Profile and Extended) installed on your computer. The software is available as a free download from the Microsoft website. If only the .NET Framework 4 Client Profile is installed on the computer (as shown in Control Panel>Programs and Features), Capture Pro will install successfully but will not run after you select your scanner.
  • If you are producing Searchable PDF output on the same PC while scanning into new batches, then it is recommended that your PC has a dual-core processor.

This version has been certified for the following Windows operating systems:

  • Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise or Ultimate (x32) - SP1
  • Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise or Ultimate (x64) - SP1
  • Windows 8 (including 8.1) Professional, Enterprise (x32)
  • Windows 8 (including 8.1) Professional, Enterprise (X64)
  • Windows 10 Professional, Enterprise (X32)
  • Windows 10 Professional, Enterprise (X64)

Servers:

  • Windows Server 2008 Standard or Enterprise (x64)
  • Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard or Enterprise (x64)
  • Windows Server 2012 Foundation, Essentials or Standard (x64)
  • Windows Server 2016 Essentials, Standard, or Datacenter (64 - bit)
  • Windows Server 2019

Network Edition Server

 Operating Systems supported for all server based products including administrative licensing, output servers and support services for remote batch management:

Capture Pro Network Edition Server Software is certified for use (without a hardware key or dongle) in the following hosted Virtualized Environments:

  • Windows Server 2008 R2 running on Microsoft Hyper-V 2008
  • Windows Server 2012 (original and R2) running on VMWare ESXi, 5.5
  • Windows Server 2012 (original and R2) running on Microsoft Hyper-V 2012 R2
  • Windows Server 2016 Datacenter running on VMware ESXi, 6.x

Auto Import Edition

In addition to the supported environments specified under Workstation/Client Software, the Capture Pro Auto Import Edition has been certified for use (without a hardware key or dongle) in the following hosted Virtualized Environments:
