Scanner 2500 Firmware

The 1500 and 2500 Scanners have a flashable firmware prom. A scanner's firmware should only be upgraded when necessary to solve a problem or acquire new functionality.

Our current firmware versions are:
Scanner 2500 v1.52

Installation Instructions

  1. Click on the Low Volume Firmware Downloader
  2. Save the downloader on your hard disk
  3. Run the firmware exe files to extract them
  4. Make sure your scanner is powered on and ready
  5. Run the Dlpro32k_ltd executable
  6. The firmware files have a .sum extension. Open the appropriate one
  7. After it loads completely, transfer the file to scanner
  8. Do not turn off the pc or the scanner while the transfer is in progress
  9. After transfer has completed the scanner will reinitialize.
  10. Wait for it to complete and confirm it is in the ready state
  11. Click the about box in DLpro32k_ltd to a confirm successful transfer

ISIS Drivers

The ISIS® driver is included on each distribution CD.

TWAIN

We provide the data sources for the scanner 2500 on the distribution CD that ships with each scanner. Currently, the latest data sources for these platforms are:

  • Version 1.77 for the Scanner 2500.
  • Data sources is TWAIN 1.7 compliant, and is a 32 bit data sources.
